What a find. We had travelled by train to Broadstairs for the day but it was so busy we decided to move along to Westgate on Sea. Right across the road from the station. Fantastic food and lovely owners. The wife is the chef and boy can she cook. The restaurant is just a normal homely place with no frills and food very reasonably priced. Take your own alcohol for no extra charge if you wish otherwise they sell soft drinks. Some people had bought jugs of beer from the micro pub just around the corner. Will definitely be back.

This is a special place and I couldn't rate it higher. If you want fast service for a take away or eating in it's probably not for you but if you want great food which has been individually and lovingly cooked, you won't get better. A genuinely lovely family run restaurant, it's not the fanciest but the food speaks for itself. Great choice, freshly cooked to order, generous portion sizes with plenty of meat/seafood/veg and very well priced. People keep coming back, our family have eaten there for over 25 years and wouldn't go anywhere else.

We visit Westgate-on-sea once or twice a year. We never miss a visit to this unique and fabulous restaurant. If you want the usual white shirts, black waste coat, fast food, plates removed as you finish the last bite, then don't come here. If you want a relaxing take your time, incredible food which is cooked as requested and not earlier and heated . The owner is so funny and cheerful. Nothing is too much. Prices are brilliant. Portions are great, always food to take home. I honestly couldn't recommend this jewel of a place enough. We've been here every year since we were told about it, so around 6yrs. Another great meal tongiht. Will be seeing you again next year. Thank for the memories.
Came for dinner with the family for my Dad's birthday and everything was wonderful. The food was delicious, generous portions and cooked fresh. Prices are reasonable and being a family run restaurant it's got a really friendly and warm atmosphere. There is street parking just outside. Note the restaurant does bit serve alcohol however they are happy for you to pop across to the shop and pick up some wine or beer for no corkage fee. Will definitely be back.
